Life since my half-birthday....

Wow, I didn't even notice that it had been more than a week since I last blogged! Hmmm... I'm trying to think about what has happened in the last week.... I had my last 4-day weekend courtesy of the summer 4-day work week schedule, so therefore I'm working my last 4-day 10-hour-per-day week this week! Next week, back to the regular because I start class next Wednesday! I have been watching a LOT of the Olympics and loving it, except the disappointing and biased judging in the gymnastics, but that's another story.... Snuggles got "fixed" last Monday, and it has been fun (sarcasm) recovering from that... I think she's trying to pay us back by being a brat this week and forgetting all of the potty training she's learned in the past 3 months!! Hopefully, it will be better in the new house when she has a yard.

Speaking of new house, yesterday was our last city inspection, so Travis and I are waiting on those results. If the inspection went well, we should be doing our walk-through next week and possibly closing the first week in September, which is very exciting!! Another piece of news- we are getting another dog! Since Travis was a wee-little red-haired lad, he has always wanted a Siberian Husky dog, and we found one from a good breeder in our price range (which was not easy!). We have always had a name for this dog, since the month after Travis and I started dating. I accompanied him to a function in Houston the month after we started dating, and he gave me a stuffed animal that was a Siberian Husky puppy, made from the TY people (who make the beanie babies). The little puppy's given name was Timber, so we always said we'd get a Timber one day. Well, here is the real Timber we will have soon:


I am trying to find a picture of our first Timber. We are excited about the new little addition to our family, but I'm not sure how Snuggles will take the new little brother. She will probably be mad at us for a little while, but I think she'll eventually warm up to Timber and they'll be pretty good buddies. I'll post more pics of Timber when he actually comes to live with us. He is still a little young, but we should get him the first week of September, hopefully after we move in to our new house!!
