Well, it's a little hard to believe we're almost halfway through December. On the other hand, it seems like it's been December forever! I know, it's weird. I'm kinda sad that I'm not in the Singing Christmas Tree program at church this weekend. It's my first time in three years to not participate and, although I have not missed devoting my entire life to practice, I will miss the actual performances. I decided against performing in SCT this year because I knew that I had lots of writing to do for school for finals and such, and I wasn't sure how much time out of work and school I'd have to devote to the SCT. However, I was able to finish my finals on Tuesday, so I've had more time to devote to other things. I will be attending the Saturday night performance of SCT tomorrow with Jenn, but I don't know what I'm gonna do tonight, Sunday night or Monday night while Travis and all of my friends are in the SCT. :(
I want to go to Southpark Meadows tonight for the laser light show at 7:00. The River will be there to hand out stockings with prizes in them. Some stockings have Trans-Siberian Orchestra Tickets or tickets to see the Rockettes when they come to town at the end of this month. I really want to see both shows, so I'm hoping that I win some tickets tonight! Sadly, it looks like I might be going to SPM by myself. O well, maybe I'll read at Border's or get some hot chocolate at Starbucks...
Saturday, as I mentioned, I will be going to see the SCT with Jenn and Jenny and I am so excited to see this year's SCT. It seems that there are more people involved and more action this year than in former years, so it should be spectacular!
After church on Sunday, I'm going to the Erwin Center to watch the Lady Longhorns take on the Lady Vols of Tennessee, who won the national championship last year. The Lady Horns are actually ranked higher than Tenn this year, so it should be a great game! If anyone would like to join me at 1:00 for the game, let me know. Once again, I'll be a loner because Travis and all of my other friends will be at the SCT that afternoon.
Well, here's to a weekend with some alone time, which I have mixed feelings about. I guess I'll get some good reading done and catch up on my rest, but I will be lonely. Let me know if you want to hang out!!
Sorry to bore you with all of the great details of my weekend, I couldn't think of anything else to write about... work is so exciting today (everyone is out of the office), that I might not come back after lunch... I might just finish my Christmas shopping.
