Wow, time is flying by and I can't believe that it's already mid-June!! I was just thinking on my way to work today that we've been so busy that we haven't had the chance to enjoy summer yet. My pasty skin is proof of that, haha! I had all intentions of getting some sun so that I don't look like a ghost at Dani's wedding, but that doesn't look like it will happen. Here's what we've been up to lately:
- We traveled home to go to two graduations for three family members. I know I promised that I would post pics, but I forgot my camera in my mom's car!
- I started my two week marathon work schedule last Thursday and have been working everyday since then. We had the State Track Meet last weekend and I will be at Dell Diamond tomorrow through Saturday for the State Baseball Tournament. My only day off will be Friday, and that was a must because...
- Friday is Dani and Joel's wedding day! :) Travis and I will both be in the wedding and we are so excited and honored that they would choose us to stand beside them on their special day.
- Speaking of Dani and Joel, we spent last Monday night helping them move into their new apartment. So happy for them! :)
- Travis and I recently became regional sales managers in a business that we do on the side. This is a big milestone. For more information, go to here or contact Travis.
- Travis' mom stayed with us last weekend for a meeting she and Travis went to on Saturday for the above business. I missed getting to really spend time with her because I was working ALL weekend, but it was still nice to see her when I did! :)
- My parents are heading into town this Thursday for Dani and Joel's wedding.
- Lufkin, my dad's alma mater and my birthplace, is playing in the 5A State Semifinal game this Friday, so my dad and I will go out to watch that game before all of the wedding festivities go down... Even though we're not supposed to be biased at the UIL, GO PANTHERS!! LP!!
- Still looking for a job. I haven't had any interviews yet, but there are some prospects that I've tried to contact lately (in my spare time).- Still working on my certification classes and I'm almost through.
- Our favorite little guy, Connor Hayden, celebrated his first birthday last week. Happy Birthday, Connor! :)
- We booked our cruise to Mexico, which leaves on July 4th. I can't wait!! :) We got such a GREAT deal!!
That's all for now.. I'll leave you with some pics from my graduation... :) Pray for job prospects....
