Cruisin'

Our ship, the Carnival Holiday

Well, we got back Saturday from our vacation, and we had a blast! We left for Lumberton/Silsbee on Thursday evening after work and got to my parents' house at 9:00. I went for a 3-mile run with the pops and then we stayed up and talked for a while.

The next morning was Travis' birthday :), so my mom made him "T" pancakes and even a longhorn pancake. She always made me "M" pancakes for my birthdays, so this is a tradition at our house. In fact, one year, KATIE arranged for me to have my annual "M" pancakes on my birthday at the dorm! :) We went and looked at trucks for Travis and then I went shopping with my mom and got a pedicure :). LOVELY! My dad and I ran our long run for the week (6 miles) and then we headed to Travis' parents' house for his birthday shindig. We had crawfish and cheesecake! :) IT WAS SO GOOD!!

Happy Birthday, Travis!!
Travis and I got up early on Saturday morning and headed to Mobile, Alabama. We decided to leave from Mobile because it was about $200 cheaper than Galveston and it was a different boat. We got to Mobile a little early, so we ate lunch and headed to the boat!

Our cruise was fantastic! It was SO nice to relax and read two books. The food was amazing, as usual and the weather was great! I even got a tan, which is a big improvement over my pre-cruise pasty skin! On formal night, I wore my bridesmaid dress from Dani's wedding, and I like that I got more use out of the dress! We met a great couple from Alabama, they shared a table with us at dinner every night. We went to the beach in both Progresso and Cozumel, and we rented a scooter in Cozumel too. We ended up having an accident on the scooter (probably my fault), which made for a very memorable two-year anniversary! For our anniversary, Travis arranged for me to have a full-body massage at the spa on the boat, it was fabulous!!

We got back to Mobile on Thursday morning and drove back to Lumberton to stay a night with Travis' parents. Travis was nice and let me stop to shop at the outlet mall in Gulfport, Mississippi. We made it back to Austin on Friday afternoon and we were exhausted from all of the traveling. After spending the weekend relaxing and hanging out with friends, it was very difficult to head back to work this morning!!

Now I am focused on two things: 1. getting a good coaching/teaching job 2. training for the Chicago Marathon with my dad (the marathon is October 11). Please pray about both!!
