Baby Furniture!

As I mentioned last week, we ordered our baby furniture and it came in on Thursday/Friday. I know, it is super early to be dealing with this, but it was a great deal and our parents wanted to do this for us. I certainly did not want to stop them! My parents bought the crib and mattress (it's not in yet), and Travis' parents bought the dresser/changing table.

Travis was so excited about picking them up and putting them together. I'm pretty sure he timed himself in the assembly of each, because he reported his times to me afterward. :) I love him, he's so cute!

Travis is getting the pieces out of the box.

Construction time...

Snuggles wants to see what's going on, so she comes in and inspects and gets a hug from her daddy.

All done! Don't you just love the guitars and drumsticks in the background. We have had several "discussions" about the decor of the baby's room. Travis wanted to use the guitars and drumsticks as decor... he was overruled! :)

We also have finished cleaning out the old game room and making it the official baby room now. I was able to put all of the baby's stuff (received thus far) in the closet too! It's feeling more real now!Stroller and crib with the new blanket that my Aunt Wendy made :)

The beautiful new dresser/changing table from Travis' parents :)

On Friday, Kristin and I went to the bi-annual Mamacents Consignment Sale at the Palmer Events Center. We were able to snag some awesome pre-sale passes (thanks Amy and Cheryl), so we got first pick at all of the goodies! I was mainly looking for stuff for our parents to use when the baby is in SETX. I was able to find an awesome stroller for $35, a bath set (in the top of the closet) for $25, and a bumbo seat and tray set that cost $24 together! And we cannot forget to mention the little burnt orange onesie that we got for the little longhorn to add to his/her longhorn collection! :) I didn't shop for clothes (although they had some great buys) because we don't know if we should be shopping for blue or pink yet. I think I've timed this pregnancy right and will also be able to attend the Spring Mamacents sale in March! :)

By the way, I was invited to the Mamacents Baby Shower for first time expectant moms. I got a lot of free stuff at the shower and met other first-time moms as well. We got free portraits and I even won one of the raffled items! It was a great event and I'm looking forward to the spring sale. Thanks Kristin for letting me tag along with you and thanks to Cheryl and Amy for the tickets! :)
Timber and Snuggles wanted to have their pictures made in the baby's room. Aren't they so photogenic? :) Love them! :)

How exciting! The furntiture looks great. That was so sweet of your parents to buy those. I love that Baby Hogg already has clothes hanging in the closet.

I can't tell you how much I'm enjoying following your journey through this pregnancy. It's especially fun because I'm just finishing up my OB rotation. The furniture looks great. I can't wait to see this little baby!!
