Snuggles really wanted to get in the picture, so....
So, my parents were in town this week and we went to the game on Saturday, watched more football on TV and went shopping a little too. :) I have been looking for some nice stockings that are pretty and have pictures and can be monogrammed with our names on the top. As I started looking, I noticed that I was probably going to have to spend around $20 a piece on these stockings. Ouch. But, then I thought about how they would hopefully last a LONG time, and so I decided to make a purchase. I looked online at many different stores but I finally settled on these from Pottery Barn Kids:
I wanted to get 4 or 5, so when our family grows more in the future, we will all have the same stocking design, but I decided to only buy 3 right now and see if I could catch any on sale after Christmas! :) I love them! I sent them home for Kaitlin to monogram on her machine and my mom should be bringing them back with her when they come (again) for my dad's marathon this weekend. More on that marathon later....
Also, a special thanks to Dani for coming over last night and helping me organize Hudson's room. Even though we haven't had any baby showers, Hudson is already accumulating a large amount of stuff! :) We are blessed. On another note, we weren't able to put up the bookshelf that we bought on Thursday because it was way too dark, it was almost black and Target didn't have a color closer to our furniture, so we are still shopping for a bookshelf :(
I didn't mention this last week, but a special thank you to Brad and Katie for the yummy Tiff's Treats they sent to congratulate us on our "boy" news! Thanks friend :)
Here's what Hudson's doing at 19 weeks:
Your baby's sensory development is exploding! His brain is designating specialized areas for smell, taste, hearing, vision, and touch. Some research suggests that he may be able to hear your voice now, so don't be shy about reading aloud, talking to him, or singing a happy tune if the mood strikes you.
Your baby weighs about 8 1/2 ounces and measures 6 inches, head to bottom — about the size of a large heirloom tomato. His arms and legs are in the right proportions to each other and the rest of his body now. His kidneys continue to make urine and the hair on his scalp is sprouting. A waxy protective coating called the vernix caseosa is forming on his skin to prevent it from pickling in the amniotic fluid.

Nice stockings! I was planning on making some for us last year... with a December wedding in our family last year it was too crazy and I never got it done. This year we still don't have stockings... but we also won't be home at all so I may wait until next year ;o haha
I described my first baby movement feelings as feeling like I'd swallowed a tiny goldfish. It's also kind of like you have a ghost child inside... because now you feel it, now you don't. Pretty soon you'll be feeling him all the time... and eventually, you might not be feeling Hudson move, but you can poke on his little body all the time just to irritate him. lol! I poked on Ellie's bum all the time. :)
Btw, you look super cute!
When you hold your shirt against your tummy you totally look pregnant. I guess when you wear loose fitting shirts you can't tell as well, but you're definitely preggo in that picture....a cute pregnant lady at that. :)
I enjoyed getting Hudson's room organized last night. I get to live through your experiences right now. Call me whenever you need any sort of thing like that.
