Worldwind Weekend!

Starting tomorrow (Friday), we will be on a busy schedule in the family! The UIL State Cross Country Meet is Saturday, but I have to work at the meet registration tomorrow until about 8:00 pm or later. My parents will be in town again, but they won't be coming to Austin until after my dad's game on Friday night, so they'll be in late!! Then, my mom and I are getting up early to get to Round Rock for the CC Meet on Saturday morning at 7:30 am. My mom is dropping me off and then she's going shopping at the outlet malls (once they open), and then she'll be back to pick me up at about 2:30pm. Meanwhile, my dad will be sleeping in and attempting to rest all day because he is running in his marathon on Sunday in San Antonio. But, I know that he and Travis will both be watching the UT-Baylor game on Saturday morning at 11:00, and then they will be getting ready for us to be home so we can all head to San Antonio. We have to be at the marathon registration to pick up my dad's race stuff by 5:00, and then we will be driving the marathon course and eating some good pasta so that my dad can load up on carbs!!

Sunday is race day!! I'm excited and nervous for my dad. Technically, I'm still supposed to be running the half-marathon, but I will be cheering my dad on in our special "Coach K's Marathon Team" shirts we made for him :) I think Snuggles will even be making the trip with us. That should be fun! My mom and I may get to shop at a few stores before we return to Austin Sunday afternoon. Travis has a meeting at church at 4:00, so we have to be back for that. Whew!! I know I'm gonna be tired, but it will be great to spend that time with family and also earning some overtime pay working the meet this weekend!

I'll let y'all know how my dad does in his first (and maybe only) marathon. Please pray for him, that he has no injuries or health problems and that he'll have the strength to finish the race. He's really been working hard! The five of us (mom, me, Travis, Hudson and Snuggles) will be cheering him on!! Go Coach K!!!

I'll leave you with a few pics that we took at the UT-Colorado game last month....
