I'm almost two months old and such a big boy!!
Last week, my mom came and stayed with Hudson during the day while I went back to work. It was great having her here for the week. Not only do I love to spend time with her, but Hudson loves to spend time with her and I know she LOVES her time with Hudson. :)
On Thursday, Travis, Hudson and my mom came and took me to lunch at Pappasitos. It was great, as always. On Friday, my mom and Hudson picked me up from work at lunch and we headed to Huntington for my cousin Nathan's high school graduation. We had to stop and feed him once on the trip, but other than that, he slept the whole time. Nathan's graduation was great! Since his class had only around 125 students in it, the principal was able to say a few things about each student as they walked across the stage.

Hudson was AMAZING at graduation! It lasted for about an hour and a half and he either slept or just looked around wide-eyed at everybody there. Everyone kept saying how good he is and how they are so impressed that he didn't cry at all! He loved staying at Mamaw's house and getting spoiled with all of the love there!
On Saturday, we had a graduation party for Nathan and then we went to Lufkin to see some of my dad's family. We went to my grandparents house for a short visit and then we went to my Uncle Bil's house so Hudson could meet Uncle Bil, Aunt Wendy and Mikey. They loved feeding and playing with Hudson.

Then, we headed to Lumberton for Wes Bingham's graduation party. Wes is my longtime friend Stephanie's little brother. I can't believe Wes just graduated! I always embarrass him and tell his friends that I remember when Wes was about 4 or 5 years old and had a tantrum because he couldn't tie his shoes, haha! Wes is a great young man now and we wish him the best of luck playing baseball at Richland College. At Wes's party, Hudson was able to experience his first sight of crawfish (yummy) and meet Stephanie! She was a natural with him and I can't wait to hold a little Stephanie offspring one day! :)
On Sunday, Hudson went to the church nursery for the first time. He was lucky that he got to be the only baby in the early service nursery and that he got to spend his first trip there with Aunt KK and my cousin Lindsey. They both work in the nursery, so they were so excited when we showed up with Hudson at the nursery! I am so mad at myself for not getting a picture of them!!
That afternoon, we went to Stephanie's wedding shower and had a great time! The hostesses did a WONDERFUL job and it was such a lovely event! So glad I got to see Steph, Dan, Christine and the rest of her wonderful family this weekend! The evening ended with a game of Scrabble with my parents (and Hudson).
The next morning, we woke up early to meet Travis' mom and head back to Austin. We got back to Austin around noon and were exhausted! After lunch with his mom and dinner trying out the new Chick-fil-A spicy chicken sandwich (and it is spicy!), we called it a night and headed to bed.
About Hudson lately: he went for his two-month check-up last Thursday (a little early) and he weighed 9 pounds 4 ounces and was 21 inches long. He is only in the 5th percentile at his age, but our doctor is not worried because Travis is not a big guy and Hudson is very similar to the size that Travis was at this age. Hudson is a good eater and drinks about 2 5-ounce bottles and 4 4-ounce bottles a day! He loves to pee and does this about a million times a day, haha! I'm glad that all of his systems are functioning properly! We are still working on sleeping through the night. Since our moms have been in town, I haven't had to get up with him in a while (thank you!), but he is still getting up to eat once during the night and last night, he only went about 4 hours at a time, which is regressing! He was sleeping 7 hours at a time. I'm hoping he will return to that pattern. We are working on putting him to sleep without a pacifier and without rocking him for an hour, which will make things easier for him and us in the future.
We are so blessed by this little boy and can't wait to see what man of God he grows up to become. He changes everyday and his little smiles (which I have yet to capture on camera) just light up our lives!
Yummy, my hand tastes so good!!

Lucy and Hudson need another play date- we miss the Hoggs already!I know your moms are loving their time with Hudson! My mom is keeping Lucy for 3 days in June while I work and I'm pretty sure she is counting down the days until she gets Lucy all to her self! Ha!
