Happy 17 Months, Hudson!
Hudson is such a boy! We love his love for the outdoors, dirt, action and horse playing with daddy and friends! He is developing such a sweet personality. LOVES to give kisses, hugs and tell you HI or BYE!
Here are some other things Hudson is doing at 17 months:
- Alerts us when a timer goes off. Whether it's a cell phone, microwave, oven timer, dryer, washer or any other timer, he's on top of it.
- Still LOVES bananas. We still have to work on him getting all food and milk in per day. He's just too active to slow down to eat.
- Says these words: ice, outside, fish, ball, mom, dad, pop, nanny (dani), hot, up, mouse, hush, cat, here, thanks and others I'm sure I'm forgetting. We are still working on getting him to use his words more, instead of just grunting and pointing at what he wants.
- Sleeps pretty well. Usually about 8 hours in his bed and sometimes will wake up early and get in bed with mom and dad at about 5:00.
- Takes one solid nap now. It can range anywhere from 1-3 hours long, depending on the day and activity.
- LOVES to be outside!
- LOVES to help mommy clean up around the house. Whether it's vacuuming, mopping, throwing away trash or wiping the tables, he loves to help.
- He knows Travis' morning routine and helps him get ready (since I'm already at work). This includes getting his shoes, hat, keys, wallet, etc. for daddy.
- Getting to be a pro at drop-off at school and the church nursery. He was going through a phase of attachment, but seems to be over that for now.
- LOVES to play with Timber, but Timber is still unsure about Hudson. Hudson wants to lay on Timber, but Timber is not keen on that....
- LOVES to go on wagon rides around the neighborhood. Pop is his usual pilot for that activity.
- Still wears size 3 diapers and I'm thinking he is ALMOST at the 20 pound mark, lol.
- Has hit a growth spurt and is almost 32" tall now.
- Has cut two molars and is getting more molars in now.
- He was caught trying to put on daddy's deodorant the other day. :)
- He suffers from mommy's "nap syndrome", where he is a little "ill hornet" (as my mamaw would say) for about 30 minutes after getting up from naps.
We are so blessed by this sweet boy! Thank you, God for this blessing!!!
