Baby Brazos Update

Today I am 37 weeks pregnant with Brazos.  That means that I am officially full-term, except that I still have 3 weeks until my due date.  If I went into labor, Brazos' lung function and other organs should be fine without any neonatal support.  I am feeling every bit of 37 weeks pregnant too!  I am going to the doctor every week now and at my last appointment, I had not dilated any, but everything is progressing in the right direction toward labor in the next three weeks, hopefully.  I had Hudson 5 days late, so I am not betting on going into labor early, but you never know, right?  Travis keeps telling Brazos to stay put until youth camp is over on July 13. That is our last official camp/big event of the summer, so then Travis should be able to take a week or so off after Brazos is born.  I will try to keep you updated on baby news, but let's be honest- at the rate I've been going lately, I may not blog again until after Brazos is born, lol!  Please keep us in your prayers for a healthy baby and delivery.  Also pray that our family of three would adjust to a new member, especially a certain two-year-old little boy! :)

We have finally finished Brazos' room.  It's true what they say about babies that are not the first- you are really busy and lose track of time in pregnancy.  Before you know it, the baby could arrive at any time and you need to be ready! By the time I was 28 weeks pregnant with Hudson, I think I had more ready for his arrival than I have ready for Brazos now, haha.

Remember, I am no professional photographer, but here are a few photos of his room for you to enjoy:
The traditional letters decorated in his nautical theme, by the talented Dani!
Bedding- I love the simplicity of the sailboats and blues.

The cute find my mom and mom-in-law found at a local resale.  We added the USS Brazos as a personal touch.
Finally, the sailboat hat rack. :) Everything else is the same as for Hudson's nursery- same paint, same furniture and same picture spread of me and Travis above the changing table.

We have been super blessed with showers from friends and family.  I was so surprised to have this much stuff given to us with a second boy.  Above are the diapers and things given to us by my awesome FCA students at school.
We also had a shower from the church/youth parents and kids.  It was so sweet and special!  I can't forget the shower from the teachers at my school or the gift card shower we had this morning from dear friends.  Thank you all for your love, y'all are such a blessing to us and I can't wait to introduce Brazos to you!
