Timber- Our Newest "Child"

Well, Timber has been living with us as the newest member of our little family for almost a month now. Since his first night with us, at only six weeks old, he has already grown a lot!! Snuggles was only bigger than Timber for about a week and a half! :) She took advantage of that time too! Timber was definitely easier to house-train than Snuggles, but since moving into our new temporary digs, the two have reversed their potty habits. Timber now uses the puppy pads inside the house while Snuggles waits to go outside when we get home.... Eventually, they will start eating different food, as Snuggles will eat small breed dog food and Timber will eat large breed dog food, but we don't know how that will work because they currently eat out of the others' bowls all the time and we can't get them to eat out of their own bowl only! The other precious thing about Timber is his form of communication. Instead of barking or even whimpering, he howls. Apparently, Siberian Huskies howl instead of barking, so this is very common for the breed. He sounds like an old man when he "howls", and it is so funny!!

Snuggles was not initially thrilled with her new brother, but after a couple of days, she came around and now she loves her new playmate. It's so cute to see them play together! Yesterday, Snuggles was in her crate (because she got in trouble), and Timber was using his paw and his teeth trying to get the crate unlocked so she could get out. It was cute! :)
