Teriffic Tuesday!

I hope everyone's having a great start to their week! It's been a busy start to our week, but we're adjusting! Yesterday, I found out that I will have my Master's Presentation on Friday morning!! What?? Come again?? It's only the biggest presentation I'll have to make in my graduate career. It is the final gate to graduation and it's in front of the faculty that have taught me for the past two year (well 5 if you count undergrad). Anyways, after the shock went away, I started stressing about it. Then I read that I have to turn in the slide handouts and the presentation on a CD by Wednesday at 5!! Whoa! I was upset because this was not in my weekly schedule, I was not budgeting any time for this. I budgeted time for my certification class, working out, cooking dinner, work, etc., but not preparing for a huge presentation by Wednesday!

Well, I said a prayer and I reviewed the presentation guidelines. It has two parts, the first part is about the organization at which I am interning (UIL), and the second part is stating and describing in detail three organizational goals that would benefit the UIL in the next 5 years. I went home and started sorting through my stuff. I came up with my three goals and prepared the first part of my presentation. Whew, I feel better already. So, I plan on finishing this kid up tonight, so pray that I have clarity of mind to organize and finish the presentation so that I can turn it in tomorrow, but most importantly- pray for the actual presentation on Friday morning. Thanks, I knew I could count on you!

On other news, I won movie tickets on the radio this morning! Every Tuesday morning, the local christian radio station plays men vs. women, in which they try to ask women questions that men would normally know the answers to and vice-versa. I always do well when I play along while listening, because most of the women's questions are about sports, so I decided to call in this morning on my way to work. I got through and competed and I got all of my questions correct. Apparently, studying ESPN daily comes in handy sometimes. My prize was two tickets to see the movie "17 Again" with Zac Efron and Matthew Perry. The movie actually looked cute, so I'm excited. Travis was listening on his way to work too, and it was fun that he got to hear me on the radio. That good start steered the way for the rest of my day. Work was good and went by quickly, and we had a baby shower here for a co-worker, so that's always fun. Tonight, I'm meeting up with the Haydens and Roberts at Jason's Deli for a sweet dinner too, so it will be a good way to end a good day.Yesterday was Brittany Swanson's birthday, and I enjoyed my phone visit with her. She always makes me laugh and we encourage one another in our own special ways. Thanks, Brittany for making me chuckle, you're the best and I wish y'all lived closer! I'm way excited for Brittany and Sam, as they are expecting their first child in October. Yay!

Well, I will leave you with a pic I took today on this Teriffic Tuesday. I get a little bored at work sometimes and I'm enjoying the camera and photo booth app on my computer! :)
