This is a belated post, but I found out last Thursday (only a day after I took my tests) that I PASSED both of my certification tests! Yahoo! It is truly a blessing from God, and as my friend Becca said, this was His confirmation that I am on the right path.... Sometimes, though, I gotta admit that I worry about if I'm doing the right thing... Am I fit to be a good teacher? Will I be able to effectively teach these students what they need to learn? Will I be able to complete lesson plans and know when to test the kids? Will I be a good coach when I worry about not knowing certain things? Will I even get a job?? Am I supposed to be leaving the UIL?Well, I am reminded that God has EVERYTHING under control and HE will provide. I just need to keep seeking His will. His word reminds me to "Seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and all these things will be added to you." (Matthew 6:33)
For now, I am applying at local districts and waiting for a job interview. I check for openings daily (sometimes twice a day). So far I've applied at Austin ISD, Dripping Springs ISD, Hays CISD and Lake Travis ISD. Thank you to all of my friends who have helped put in a good word for me or been a reference. I really appreciate it!
Dani reminded me that my blog posts are sometimes boring because I don't have many pictures, so I'm adding some cool pics for her. But, if we're being fair here, Dani's blog NEVER has pictures! :) Love you Dani!
On Monday, I will post pictures of my master's graduation last weekend and pictures from the two high school graduations we are attending this weekend in Southeast Texas. My cousins Dewilyn and Lindsey are graduating from Lumberton and Travis' cousin Lauren is graduating from Orangefield. So, we are headed back to SETX today to celebrate those milestones. Congrats c/o 2009! Wow, it's already been 6 years since my high school graduation, which makes me feel old!! Have a great weekend!
