Dear Longhorns, Part Two

Dear Longhorn Baseball Team,

Thank you SOO much for the great pitching, excellent defense and outstanding hitting in last night's 5-1 victory over LSU! You must have received my previous letter, because you answered every plea. Now that the series is tied, it's just like starting over from scratch. The team that wins this games can call themselves National Champions. Don't let the pressure get to you, instead play like the power-hitting, flame-throwing, defense-minded team that you have been this season. We have all had a great time watching you in this exciting post-season run. After all, you have completed miraculous comebacks, marvelous finishes and power homeruns (in the bottom of the ninth inning). Keep that same mojo alive tonight. I believe you can do it. Stay focused on the prize. I'll be in my living room (wish I was in Omaha) with my Longhorn hubby, sporting the burnt orange and white and cheering you on (while I eat leftover pizza and maybe a salad). We're ready to buy our championship gear and take a pic with the orange tower.

Good luck,

Meagan

p.s. I don't think it would be bad sportsmanship if you creamed LSU tonight with a 15-1 win or something of the like. Show them who's bigger. Show them which state has more pride. I know you've relished in your rivalry with that other team across the Red River, but tonight, show them who owns the Sabine River.

you watched last nights game, didn't you?? You should have turned off the tv and they would have won...the only night they won was the one night you didn't watch, don't change what is working...that's the first rule in baseball. LOL J/K
