It's A.....

BOY!!! Hudson Lane Hogg will be making his appearance sometime around April 3, 2010.

We have had such a busy day! We woke up this morning at 5:45 and got ready to go to the doctor. We beat the Mopac traffic and arrived at Chick-fil-A early to eat some breakfast before the appt. I had a milkshake to get the little baby moving, to make sure we'd be able to tell if it was a boy or girl. After eating breakfast with my brother, the 7 of us headed to Dr. Pevoto's office for our 8:00 appt. I was sooo nervous! I wanted to make sure that the baby cooperated since our parents had traveled so far to see the ultrasound, but mostly I just wanted a healthy report. Well, God answered my prayers. Though I was nervous, the doctor was able to detect a strong heartbeat and scanned the different parts of the baby and its development. Everything is right on schedule, and the baby is measuring in the 50th percentile in development. The brain, bone, organs and growth is perfect, and we are sooo relieved to always hear that news!

Then, the baby was being stubborn (must take after his daddy), and he did not want to "show" himself. I was getting worried that I'd have to do some dancing or drink a Coke or something to get the little one moving. Finally, Dr. Pevoto was able to get the baby to move just enough so that we saw a little something, if you know what I mean... :) It is for sure a boy! It was so cool to finally give this baby a name and a gender. So, we are so happy that little Hudson is tucked away nicely in my uterus and everything is grand!

After the appt, Travis had to go back to work :(, and we headed to Lowe's to get paint for the nursery. We painted the nursery blue (I'll post pictures of the room later), and then took a short nap and headed to register. I ended up registering at three places: Target, Babies-R-Us and Buy Buy Baby. I couldn't help but register for certain items at multiple places, but I'm helping that will make it convenient for those shopping later. We ate dinner and came home and I am soooo exhausted! It's been a great day, but a long day!!

Now, on to tomorrow and watching UT vs. OSU and fellowship with friends. I feel so blessed, it's been one of the best days of my life!
