29 Weeks

What a weekend! :) First, I will be posting pics and info from our awesome shower in Lumberton, but I wanted to give my weekly baby update.

29 Weeks, and here's what's going on with me this week:

Hudson has decided to use my kidneys as a pillow, so I had severe back pain on one side of my body on my way to Lumberton on Friday afternoon. It stopped that evening and I haven't felt it again, but I'm pretty sure that this was the cause of the pain. Nothing else unordinary.

Hudson also likes to use my ribs as a foot rest. Even at our last doctor appt, Dr. Peveto was unable to see one foot because it was underneath my ribs. This happens all the time. I am totally okay with adjusting my sitting position to accommodate a moving and healthy boy!

Hudson has been moving all the time, which leads Travis and me to believe that maybe we won't see much sleep action from him once he comes. Please surprise us on this one, Hudson! :)

We are now down to going to the doctor every two weeks, so we will be heading back on the 28th. No more ultrasounds until 34 weeks, I think. Keep growing, Hudson! :)

Here's what's going on with Hudson at 29 Weeks:
Your baby now weighs about 2 1/2 pounds (like a butternut squash) and is a tad over 15 inches long from head to heel. His muscles and lungs are continuing to mature, and his head is growing bigger to make room for his developing brain. To meet his increasing nutritional demands, you'll need plenty of protein, vitamins C, folic acid, and iron. And because his bones are soaking up lots of calcium, be sure to drink your milk (or find another good source of calcium, such as cheese, yogurt, or enriched orange juice). This trimester, about 250 milligrams of calcium are deposited in your baby's hardening skeleton each day.
