Hudson: 2.5 Years

Hudson is half-way to five years old! What?!? My little guy is getting bigger by the month, and not just in size!  He's such a joy to be around! Although we have had a few bouts with biting, I think that is behind us and this little boy has been nothing but pure happiness and energy!

At Two-And-A-Half Years, Hudson is:
- still eating small portions. He's just not too interested in food, but has been asking for "snacks" lately in the afternoons and definitely has some favorite foods like pancakes, mac-n-cheese, corndogs and of course, ice cream.
- loving his milk, as he calls "bulk".  We can now switch from whole milk to 2% since he's gained weight. :)
- improving his speech. His speech was hard to understand, but we can really see an improvement in pronunciation lately and an increase in vocabulary as well.
- an AWESOME big brother to Brazos! He loves Brazos so much and loves to help out with him. This is a huge blessing for us!
- still taking a nap in the afternoon, usually between 1.5-3 hours.
- definitely ACTIVE! He loves to run around, loves to go to the playground, and does a great job going up and down the stairs.
- an outdoors guy! Will spend hours in the backyard playing with Timber if we let him!
- still sporting the wild blond hair and green/hazel eyes. He looks just like his daddy too.
- a strong little guy! Speaking of little, he weighs just 24 pounds now and is 33 inches tall.  Looks like he will grow up to be the same size as his daddy too.
- enjoys being around other kids, especially older kids.
- a great traveler and loves to sing to the songs on the radio.
- becoming an excellent hider! Sometimes it will be really quiet and we wonder where Hudson is, and he will be hiding. He loves it when we find him, and he laughs so hard!  A few weeks ago, we spent almost 15 minutes looking for him before we found him hiding up next to the recliner, but blending in to the fabric. :)
- great with his colors and letters!
- still excited to play on the iPad or his iPod. He also loves certain shows on PBS like "Curious George", "Clifford" and he also likes "Mickey Mouse Clubhouse".  He is still a fan of Veggietales, but doesn't watch it as much as he once did.

Jesus, thank you so much for the opportunity to be the mommy of this little man for 2.5 years! He is such a blessing to our family and I cannot wait to see how You will use him to reach others in Your Name.
