These eight months have truly flown by! I don't know if it's because we have been busier or if it's because I have two kids to chase around now, but Brazos' first eight months went by a lot faster than Hudson's first eight months. Weird how that happens! Now, I look up and Brazos will be one in a few months and Hudson is about to turn three years old! CRAZINESS!
At 8 months, Brazos is:
-Still sleeping GREAT from 8-7 and usually with little to no crying when we put him down.
-CRAWLING around everywhere! He has been army crawling for a few weeks now, but he's starting to get on all fours and really move now! He's quick! I need to babyproof my house again, haha.
-Loving to laugh at his daddy! Everytime Travis comes into the room, Brazos lights up. He cries when I leave the room, but he doesn't smile as big as when Travis enters the room. Daddy can also make him laugh the most! Grinna is a very close second, though!
-EATING like a horse! I am scared he overeats sometimes! Again, it's weird because his brother is direct opposite, but Brazos usually eats cearal and fruit in the morning, a veggie and fruit at lunch, a veggie and fruit at supper and snacks in between! He eats four 6-ounce bottles during the day, so the formula intake has decreased. He started eating Nilla Wafers and some bite-sized portions of table food.
-Weighing around 20 pounds now! I remember Hudson was almost 18 months old before he weighed 20 pounds so he could face the front in the car. I think we will wait for about a year before turning Brazos around in the car if we can hold off that long for safety reasons.
-Wearing 6-9 or 6-12 month clothing and size 4 shoes. He will catch up to Hudson soon!
-Babbling and exploring like none other. I don't remember Hudson being this curious and sticking everything in his mouth!
-Getting a third tooth in as I type this. All of them are on the bottom so far.
-Loving bath times with brother. It still makes me nervous, but I am letting him stay in longer now to play.
We love you, Chunky Monkey! You make our hearts happy with joy from the LORD!
