Well, I guess I am officially finished with the semester, Thank You Lord! This means that I am officially halfway finished with graduate school. When I think back to a year ago, I am amazed at all that has happened in only 12 months.
A year ago, I just worked my last day at my part-time job at Forestar Real Estate, where I had worked for over 3 years. I was also winding down my internship at the UIL and praying for a job there in the fall (which I got!!). I was cleaning my apartment, helping my roommate, Jenn, move to LA and hosting my family for a few nights as they came to witness my graduation :). Since that time, I've obtained two degrees, moved to Silsbee and back to Austin, changed my name, moved in with a boy (a wonderful man), had my first kidney infection, gotten stung by 3 scorpions, started graduate school, wanted to quit graduate school several times, mourned the death of a close family member, led an 8th grade girl to Christ, sang in the Singing Christmas Tree, sent out our family's first Christmas Card Picture, became a mommy (to a puppy), had a minor health crisis, played disc golf twice, ran 43 miles in one month, became the same age as Michael Jordan's jersey number, been in 3 different car accidents, been a disciple-now youth leader and met some very cool people from all over the globe in my grad classes. Whew!! What a year!! I can honestly say that God has shown his provision, love and mercy in my life this year than any other year.
I am so blessed and I am only 23!! As I look forward to this week- with Travis graduating, showing our families our new lot for our new house, spending time with friends and family, and getting to experience something with my mom that she has been waiting a long time to experience, I am so blessed and I know that this next year will be great as well. God will still have his hand over my life and will still provide for us. I will still give Him the credit for every good and perfect thing and will praise him for the good and the bad.
YAY!! I SURVIVED THE TOUGHEST SEMESTER EVER!!!
