Snuggle Pup

Since I was 15, I have asked for a puppy every Christmas and Birthday.... I never got my cute little puppy and had seceded to the idea that I wouldn't get my puppy until we had a house because I didn't want to pay the apt. pet deposit that is astronomical!!  Well, most of you know that I am not a spur-of-the-moment girl, but I did make a sudden decision last Thursday.  Someone at work was talking about puppies, so I decided to see if there were any cute puppies in the local paper's classified section. I hadn't looked on that site in a few months, since I decided there would be no pet until there was a house...  By chance, there was a woman selling shi-poos, which is a cross between a shih-tzu and a poodle for way less than I had ever seen it!  To make it better, these puppies already had shots and were de-wormed....  The only bad part was that they were in Llano, so I consulted Travis (which included a lot of convincing and giving my best sales pitch ever), consulted my bank account and my living situation...  Next thing you know, I am heading to Llano with Dani to pick up my sweet puppy!!  Travis had a meeting that night, so he couldn't come with me.  We were already planning on going to Lumberton for the weekend because we were leading a D-Now with our former church, so I couldn't go get the pup on Friday or the weekend.  The owner had two females and a male left, so I knew I wanted a female, and once I saw my puppy, I knew she was the one for me.... She is seriously the cutest puppy I've ever seen.. I know you'll agree with me when you see pictures, which I hope to post soon...  I know people say that their kids or pets are the cutest and they really aren't the cutest, but my puppy is seriously the cutest, haha...  Travis didn't want me to name her, so I had to wait until I got home to give her a name.  Joel was at our apt. since Dani was with me, and he said she looked like the little bear on the Snuggle laundry sheets, so we named her Snuggles.... :)  It wasn't the type of name I was planning on, but it fits her perfectly now, she even likes to Snuggle a lot!!  Since we were gone two of her first 3 days with us, she stayed with her Grandparents (Travis' parents) while we were at D-Now.  Last night was her first night back with us at the apt. and it was a little rough. We are trying to housetrain her, so she was shut in the bathroom all night, and she does NOT like to be alone at all!!  She cried, whined and yelped for sooo long, and we didn't want the neighbors to complain, so we let her sleep with us.  She is so tiny that I was afraid I would roll over on top of her, so with the anxiety of smothering her combined with her crying, we did not sleep much!!  If we can get her trained and used to a routine, things will be great.  We love our new addition to our family... She is the sweetest thing ever!!  I now present to you, Snuggle, making her first internet debut!!
