Take me out to the ballpark!

Yesterday I headed to the UT Softball Field after work for the State Softball Tournament. I saw two games and they were both great games! I forgot how much I enjoy watching softball/baseball games in high school. The first game ended with a surprise double hit that propelled the team to win, even thought the team was losing the whole game until their last at-bat.

My mom's alma mater, Huntington, played in the second game I saw last night. They played Burkburnett, and it was a great game too. I was happy that Huntington won, and they were very excited! They came last year but were knocked out in the first round, so it was nice to get to the finals for them! Also, I thought it was really cool that the officials allowed the Huntington seniors to "graduate" on the field. They will be missing their high school graduation because they will still be in Austin to play their state championship game on Saturday. Their names were called and they got to walk and receive their diplomas and they threw their gloves at the end, instead of their graduation caps. It was pretty neat!

Well, this weekend will give me a little time to relax, hopefully, and a little time to catch up on some reading I need to finish before my summer class starts. I am gearing up for the baseball tournament next week and we are helping Jenn move tomorrow. After I go to see Katie Wood play for Dripping Springs softball today, I think I am going home to rest!!

Have a blessed weekend!!
