We had a great time in good ol' Lumberton last weekend visiting our dads and celebrating Colin's birthday! Both Snuggles and I got new haircuts, so we are some spiffy Hogg women! :) Well, I guess Snuggles is still a girl. Anyways, I have a fabulous time going shopping with my mom in Beaumont and Travis got to go fishing and swimming with his dad and sister. They put up a new above-ground pool in their backyard, so that was a big hit! Everyone loved on Snuggles, and it is an understatement to say that she is definitely spoiled! My summer class has started, so I am spending three hours on Mondays and Wednesday nights at the School of Social Work taking an elective grad class. Travis is busy with work, online and correspondence classes and getting ready for his mission trip to Wales. He flies out of Austin on June 27th and he won't be back until July 9th! Snuggles and I will surely miss him! :(
We went by to check on the progress of our house, and they laid the foundation slab and started putting up the form wood too! Yay! Our tentative closing date is September 30th, so we are about 3 months out.... I am praying that the interest rates go back down because they are at about 6.1% right now, and they were at 5.6% about a month ago. That will make a big difference in our mortgage payments.
Well, I know that was a little boring.... I must go now, we are meeting my grandparents for dinner tonight. They are in Austin for a UT Alumni Convention. Later!!
