I love these four-day weekends!

Well, I just had my first full four-day weekend and it was so awesome! I have been working my ten-hour days four days a week, and it gives opportunity for four-day weekends every two weeks! I think I will only have one more four-day weekend before the 4-day work week thing ends for the summer, but I love it! Working the longer days is a little tough, but the free four-day weekend is totally worth it! I feel refreshed and revived!

On Friday, I got to sleep in and spend time with Snuggles while doing some domestic chores around the apt. For instance, I did some laundry, changed the sheets, cleaned, mopped and organized my apt! I even had time to work out, take a nap, do a little shopping and make an Italian creme cake for Travis... Yep, this was my first layered cake to make from scratch! I was so proud of myself, and it was (and still is) delicious!! Even the icing was from scratch!! :)

Well, I had to save the cake a little longer for Travis, because his layover flight in Denver got canceled because the original pilot did not show up... :( I was upset!! This meant a stranded night in Denver for Travis and another day without seeing my best friend! Saturday, I got up EARLY because our apt. complex was having a community-wide garage sale and I had some clothes, shoes and Travis had some old tech stuff to sell. I made about $100 total at the garage sale, which I think was way worth getting up early and standing in the sun for 4 hours! I only returned home with a pair of shoes to donate to Goodwill! Travis finally made it home at 3PM on Saturday, after stopping in Dallas for another layover! It was so great to have him home again!! Snuggles and I were both very excited to see him!! Oh, I forgot to mention that I had lunch with my Uncle Bil and his wife, Wendy, at Texas Roadhouse, and it was a great lunch too. It was good to see them on their visit to Central Texas. Saturday night, after a good afternoon nap, we went to Guero's Taco Bar to eat with Sam and Brittany, who were in town for a visit. It was great to see them as well, I always laugh a lot around them and love their fellowship!

After church on Sunday, we went to the Guadalupe/Comal River in New Braunfels to float the river. It was hot, but it was very relaxing in the river, and it wasn't as crowded as I thought it would be. I only got separated from Travis once I think. Even though I lathered up on sunscreen, I still got a mild sunburn, but I don't think it will peel, which is nice. We headed over to Rudy's for a tasty supper before heading home. The day ended with fellowship with Dani and Joel while watching the ESPY's, which I enjoyed!

Yesterday, I got up around 8:00 and we headed over to the house to check on any progress. The light fixtures and fans are all in and the house has been painted. We also have a garage door now, which is exciting! Travis left for work, and Snuggles and I went running around our new neighborhood. It was great to run outdoors, I get tired of running on a treadmill indoors, it's kinda boring... I finished the laundry and met Travis to look at furniture after work. I still had to go to class, but we got out early, which was a welcomed surprise! All in all, I loved the four-day weekend, and the good thing is that I didn't have to use any vacation or sick time to be off two extra days! Yippee!!

I don't know how to add friends to my blog.
