Whirlwind!

Well, I apologize for neglecting the blog for a week. Here's a recap of what's been goin' on in the last week:

- I lost another 1/2 pound, total is almost 10!! Slowly but surely getting there.
- I am looking at possibly teaching/coaching in the future.. stay tuned for more, if this develops.
- I am consumed with planning for the boys state basketball tournament at work. Two more weeks till the tournament.
- We finally made it back to church after being out of town for two weeks. Now, I find out I will miss church because I have to work the next two Sunday mornings.
- I will be working for three weeks straight, every day!!
- We are working on memorizing scripture in my small group- starting with Romans 12:1
- Travis has been sick the past few days with a respiratory virus. He was out of work half the day yesterday but is feeling better today.
- My granddaddy was admitted to the hospital on Tuesday morning for back pain and a bad cough. They were worried that he had pneumonia, but tests have come back negative, so that's a blessing. He still has a cough, but it has gotten better. They did a minor surgery yesterday morning to repair the fracture in his vertebrate. He is doing much better and may get to go home today!! This is especially good because tomorrow is his 80th birthday!!
- My parents are coming to town next weekend for the girls' state basketball tournament and I am always excited about that!
- I have determined my next two fitness goals: First, I will participate in the Danskin Triathlon on June 7. It is a 1/2 mile swim, 12 mile bike, and 5K run. I am also committed to doing the Chicago Marathon on October 11 with my dad. This has always been a life goal for us.
- I will be going to the police station today to give my statement on a scam that I was recently involved in. No worries, it was not major, I was the victim of fraud and I want to get compensated. This will be a new and interesting experience!!

I hope everything is going well for y'all and that you are staying healthy! I'm sending a special shout-out to my friends in the DFW area- Katie, Brittany, Justin and Jessica. I miss y'all and I've been thinking a lot about y'all lately!

Blessings!! :)

Awww, I miss you too, sweet friend! Thanks for the shout out, and for the update on your life. Things sure have been busy for you! I'm glad your Granddaddy is doing better and hope he enjoys his bday tomorrow. :-) Way to go on the weight loss! That's awesome! With all the physical activity you have coming up, you'll be asked to pose for Sports Illustrated in no time. (That's also been a life goal of yours, right?)

I want to know more about the scam. Email me?

Tell Travi to feel better!

P.S. My word verification for posting this comment was "timbi." Makes me think of Timber. :-) I still haven't met the real guy, btw! Just the stuffed animal!
