Well, the name doesn't have as much of a ring to it as Hotel California, but you get the picture. Now, everyone has that song going through their heads, huh? :) You can thank me later! Last week, we had guests galore stay at our casa. It is so wonderful to be able to host guests and give them their own space, with their own bathroom at their own end of the house!
My parents came last Wednesday evening for the Girls State Basketball Tournament. We saw a LOT of basketball, but I did manage to sneak in a few shopping excursions and even a great nap in the car between sessions! I missed not being able to work at the tournament, but it was also nice to be able to come and go when I pleased and not have to be there super early each morning!! The parentals stayed until Sunday morning, and I had to go work that morning, and when I got off, we had more visitors at the house!
Travis's sister and cousins- Kaitlin, Lauren and Colin came to visit. Their Spring Break was this week, and none of them had been to our house, so we told them they HAD to come visit! We even got Kaitlin giftcards to places that she could only visit in Austin, just to lure her to come! :) They finally had a few days off of work, so they came for a short visit. We loved having them here, and Travis's Nonnie would have been very proud of us because we all sat around the kitchen table and at a great meal on Sunday night, complete with a dessert! We felt so grown up!!
Travis took them to lunch on Sunday and then we went and made a few quick shopping errands before they went to play disc golf. I stayed home and rested since I had to work that morning. They had a great time and this pic was from their disc golf game.

On Monday, they had to take Travis to work in Lakeway because he left his keys in my car, so they ended up shopping in that area and hanging out until he got off of work. Then, we went to Alamo Drafthouse and watched Taken that night. It's always fun to go to the Drafthouse, and the movie was better than I expected! They left on Tuesday while we were at work, but not until they visited Freebirds for lunch (per Colin's request) and went kayaking down Town Lake, which is always something that Kaitlin's wanted to do here.
We are so grateful for a house where we can provide our family and friends a place to stay. Next up- my cousin, Jessica, and her friends are coming for a visit in April. They have a conference to attend in Austin, so they are staying with us. She's never been to our new house either, so it should be fun! Give us a call if you're in the area and need a place to stay! Hotel Hogg has vacancy!! :)

Hi! We'd like to reserve a room at Hotel Hogg soon. Sounds like a lovely place to stay! Also, I'm excited for your new venture into teaching. Not that I will be any help but let me know if you have any questions. Really miss you guys.
