On Friday, we attended a farewell party for the Ryskoski family. Matt and Jaime Ryskoski are moving to New York (Albany area) in December. :( We will certainly miss this special family! We first met Matt and Jaime when they started coming to our weekly Bible study at the Cox's home while Travis and I were just starting out at Bannockburn. Matt started teaching our class occasionally and they soon opened their own home to host our weekly small group. It was such a sweet time of fellowship and study. Jaime is an awesome small group leader, and Matt really helped to mentor Travis. We love their personalities and their sense of humor. :) They always make us laugh and when we went to their house, we would often leave very late because we would be busy laughing and talking. Matt and Travis connected over X-Box and weird nerdy games and Jaime was always willing to be a sounding board for me. We would watch their kids for them when they had to be out and we quickly began to love their whole family, even as it expanded!
When we first met them, Lorelai was just an infant and now she and big sister, Autumn have a little sister, Brighton. Autumn will forever hold a special place in our hearts because she was one of our flower girls at our wedding. She cracked us up with her mannerisms and little talk (she would say "qui-buzz" instead of "because" and she knew both "Spanish and Engalish") :)
I'm so glad we will have facebook to keep us up-to-date on all things Ryskoski. God has definitely used this family to minister to us and I know He will continue to use them in New York. Hope to have you back in Texas soon, Ryskoskis! :)
Travis with our three flower girls. Autumn is the one on the right. :)
We even saw Summer, Tim and Kailey at the party. So good to see our Pflugervillian friends. Kailey is so cute too! :)
