Catching Up....

Where do I begin? So sorry for neglecting my bloggies. I don't even remember where I left off or what has happened since then. This may take a while for me to retrace my steps....

I believe my last REAL blog before Hudson's four month post was about him laughing. Well, that was the day my parents moved in with us and they have been here for three weeks today. That's a lot of blogging to catch up on! Let's start with....

Parents:

- Still have not sold their house, no offer but they have had some interest- PLEASE PRAY!

- Enjoy their company at our house. It's a great rate for babysitting (FREE) and I've only cooked once since they have been here (Thanks Mom!)

- Found a home that they like, but cannot do anything until there is at least a contract on their home.

Dustin:

- Graduated from culinary school on July 24! We are so proud of him!

-He already has his first full-time job as a chef. He works at the Renaissance Hotel, part of the Marriott family and we are already loving the hotel discounts for friends and family!

- He and his girlfriend, Maria recently went to Dallas for a mini vacation so we watched his bulldog, Manny. He is a large dog full of energy and I think Timber is a little relieved that he is gone, he was worn out.

Meagan & Travis:

- We recently went to Rockport for a little getaway. It was nice to be able to sleep late and not worry about diapers, bottles, etc. It was my (Meagan's) first time to be away from Hudson over night, so I missed him terribly, but he was in good hands at our house :)

- I meant to take pictures on our little excursion, but I forgot. We were only away for three days.

- My former college roomie and her hubby (Katie and Brad) recently came to visit Hudson. It was great to see them! Unfortunately, by the time we thought to take a picture, Hudson was taking his nap. So, we improvised and they took a pic holding the video monitor of a sleeping Hudson. I can't wait till there are little Gaultney's running around, haha :)

- Travis' cousins (Lauren and Colin) and his sister (Kaitlin) came to visit for a few days. We had fun playing Phase 10 and going shopping at the outlet malls! Hudson was so happy to see them!!

- Travis is wrapping up summer youth activities and gearing up for the new school year. It's funny how both of our jobs revolve around a school year calendar but we do not work for schools. Travis is doing such a great job, he is such a blessing to those youth and they are a blessing to us.

- I had LASIK corrective surgery last April (2009) and since I got pregnant, had a baby, etc, my hormones messed up my vision slightly. I can have any correction for free within two years of my procedure. So, I'm having a touch up procedure done on Thursday. The recovery is not as bad as the main surgery, so I'll be fine by Friday morning.

- Speaking of Friday, we are heading to Houston to visit Cydney and Jason. We can't wait to see their new home and go to Hudson's first Astros' game. :)

- Hudson and my mom came to visit me at work last week. Everyone LOVED seeing the little guy and I snapped this shot of Brooke holding Hudson. He warmed up to her quickly!! :)

-I finished the 30 day shred. It only took me a little over 60 days, haha. :)I have been dieting, I mean living healthy and exercising and I've lost about 11-12 pounds. Not as much as I thought, but my body is very stubborn, sigh.....

- Please continue to pray about my teaching search. I have a lead right now, but I don't have any other interviews YET. I was selected as one of 10 for a job at Dahlstrom MS as a science teacher. This would be an AWESOME opportunity. I had to fill out a questionnaire about teaching stuff and I should hear back to see if I was one of the three selected for an interview by tomorrow.

- I had a HORRIBLE day last Wednesday. I went to take the generalist test that I studied for all week and when I got there, the proctor looked at my ID and said, "I'm sorry, you were supposed to take your test yesterday". I was furious!! It was a combination of my error in not checking the ticket and the testing service in not scheduling me for Wednesday. I didn't get any of my $120 back nor did they apply it to another test. So, I had to fork over the money one more time and I'm for sure taking the test tomorrow. Please pray!!

Hudson:

- All in all, he's one cute little man! Read his four-month post to catch up on all things Hudson. For now, I'll leave you with some pictures.
